SWACAA EMPLOYEE STABS HUBBY, MAKHWAPHENI

MANZINI – A woman yesterday stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife after she allegedly found him inside their house, cosy with another woman.

The woman and her husband are employed by the Swaziland Civil Aviation Authority (SWACAA), Fire and Electrical departments respectively.
The husband is currently fighting for his life at Mkhiwa Private Clinic after his wife stabbed him in the abdomen in front of their minor child.
The couple will not be named for now as police are still investigating the matter and no arrests have been made.

Information gathered is that the wife came to the house during lunch and allegedly found her husband with another woman, believed to be his girlfriend cosy inside the house. She is said to have headed to the kitchen where she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the husband once below the chest before stabbing her rival in the hands.

After wrestling his wife and trying to snatch the knife, the bloodied husband fell to the ground.
After stabbing the duo, the wife is said to have locked the house and escaped, leaving the two writhing in pain together with the child. The husband is said to have called relatives, who included his younger brother, a student nurse at SANU, who helped drive them to hospital.

The alleged secret lover was taken to the Raleigh Fitkin Memorial (RFM) Hospital while the husband was rushed to Mkhiwa Private Hospital, where he is currently fighting for his life.
The matter was later reported to the Matsapha Police Station (Esigodvweni) and police officers led by the station’s Desk Officer, Inspector Mphatsi Shabangu, headed to both hospitals to record statements.
