MBABANE – About 10 survivors of human trafficking, who are being kept at a safe house, are at a risk of being trafficked or being harmed as the place is easily accessible.

Though the place is supposed to be safe as the word suggests, the house is easily accessible and there are no security officials in sight.
The survivors are being kept at a house, whose location will not be mentioned for security reasons.

This is because the safe house is supposed to be protected from accessibility by members of the public. However, people can easily walk in without being questioned.

Reporters from this newspaper visited the house after complaints from concerned residents that some of the survivors being kept there needed medical attention.

There are at least 10 people being kept in the house, who sometimes play within the premises. Some of the survivors interviewed confirmed that they needed medical attention and that they roamed around the place freely.

Last Friday, when the reporters visited the safe house, it was not as protected as expected.
The reporters were able to easily enter the premises without any police officers or security guards present. They were not even questioned by anyone about their mission.

Some residents, interviewed from around the area, said they did not even know that it was a safe house for trafficked people, save to say that there were people who needed medical attention in the house.
