FEMALE COP ATTACKED AND HACKED BY FATHER OF HER CHILD

MBABANE – A female police officer stationed at Mafutseni cheated death when she was attacked and eventually hacked by the father of her child after an undisclosed dispute.

The officer was allegedly hacked by one Bheki* from Matsapha, last week Tuesday at night, with a bush knife in her official residence at the Mafutseni Police Camp.
Simelane, according to insiders, allegedly came to the camp to pay her a visit and found her in the house with colleague based under the Operational Support Services Unit (OSSU).

It was during a heated argument between the couple that Bheki is said to have hacked the officer with a bush knife. Other police officers who were alarmed by the noise, rushed to the scene and Simelane fled.

The officer was rushed to the Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital in Manzini where she was admitted for a week.
The officer confirmed the injuries although she was reluctant to give details of the entire incident.
“I am not fully recovered yet and I cannot say anything as I have to get permission from the authorities before I can make a public statement,” the officer said.

Hacked

Police Information and Communications Officer Assistant Superintendent Khulani Mamba confirmed the matter and said the officer was injured after she was hacked with a sharp object, which resulted in her being admitted to hospital, although it could not be established on which part of the body she was injured.
