POTHOLES A PERENNIAL SORE

Sir,

What always disturbs human welfare, ethics and conduct is not only conflicts and disagreements, but it is also when a prerogative right to humanity is sabotaged and limped along into the nearest stream by a starving crocodile. The outrageous potholes’ enigma engulfing almost all parts of public roads are an ultimate shock because our leaders use the very same roads. It is such a disgrace to utter these words! By leaders, I mean not to perambulate in the outskirts of veracity; Cabinet ministers, CEOs, MPs, the list is endless, every day, use such awe-inspiring roads. Investing this closely, as long as our government does nothing, potholes are here to stay. Nothing can be done by the innocent citizens of this country.

Plight

The seriousness of the plight of potholes along public roads has forced workers out of work and filled the street to fix these roads. This is demotivation and a transparent resemblance of the obstacles faced by emaSwati. When we think we have things under control is when problems mount and spiral out of control for the worst.

Atrocity

On the other side of this atrocity, the emphasis is on empty, impractical and unrealistic promises. Since last year emaSwati have been aching to have roads back to normal and in better conditions, only to inherit directly the opposite thus far. This boggles the mind of vehicle owners, public transport drivers and passengers. Death, it is true, is inevitable but to take our innocent souls to the slaughterhouse is indeed avoidable. Nevertheless, the roads are used to feed families, clothe souls and to provide healthcare to different people in the country; that is inevitable. With the potholes, cracks and trenches inside and along public roads, this means we are accelerating chances of vulnerability to death. That is so true! We are sincerely asking for the emancipation of religious taxpayers through fixing roads. Also, are roads not a phenomenal assert to yield enormous cash receipts for our economy? It has taken us donkey months canvassing and bleating about this slanderous defamation to humanity!
