AGONY OF TEENAGERS!

Sir

Maturity is learning  to walk away from the people and situations that  threaten your peace of mind, self-respect, values, morals and self worth.

The truth is everyone is going to hurt you, and for that, you  just have to go and find the ones worth suffering for.

We are teenagers, we are still learning. Lots of bad and good things happen, we cheat and criticise.

We fight over stupid things and again, we fall in love and end up getting hurt. We hate people for no reason. We as teenagers, lack good mentors, role models and heroes.

Tempted

We are tempted to start unhealthy patterns with drugs. Teenagers  are constantly under an immense  amount of stress and we feel lots of pressure from peers, parents and society.

Personally, for the last few weeks, I had a fear of missing out. I asked myself whether am I doing the right thing or not. I asked myself exactly who my friends really are, but I found none.

I struggled to hang with the right people, instead, I elected anger rather than pressure.

We follow people that never cared about us, instead of following our dreams and passion.

Worthless

We followed these people not knowing how they feel, having us in their  crew. We follow worthless people with no value.

If not fashionable, you are looked down upon and discriminated. To be honest, I realise how much I truly appreciate life with every imperfection. I know that I’m still young and I still have a lot to learn. Sometimes, experiences turn to lessons.

Take chances, stay out late, and go out for the right person you’re in love with. Stand up for what you think is right for you.

Stay confident and don’t forget to have amazing friendships. Blast music as loud as you can and remember that the people who judge you are not worth it.

Learning to assess your feelings is a non-accusatory way. Always stay blissful and ecstatic.  Dear teenagers, always challenge negative thoughts with neutral thoughts.

Cope

I always tell myself that my life will never get better, it can be turned into trash and it may feel hopeless, but better if I work at it. Beyond doubts, build a network of friendships that can help you cope with stress in a positive  and healthy manner.

One day, all that is going to pass. You can’t waste your time focusing on all the bad things, but one day, you  are going to wish you were a teenager. So, make the most of what you have now. Forget about peer pressure and drama. Just live your life as it is to the fullest, the world belongs to you too.
