LOOKING FOR NEEDLE IN HAYSTACK

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Sir,

Words stuck on my nifty hands, mind reeling. In this pandemic, I feel lost and confused. Finding the real truth about the coronavirus or COVID-19, when your only source is the media and an ‘untrustworthy’ government. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack. With the already confirmed cases, I do not know if I should ululate or feel alarmed.

Government is definitely hiding something or is it paranoia gnawing at my mind? Or is government trying to tell us something?

Crumbling

Government has no will to elevate our crumbling healthcare even when I see donations pouring in. Like all critical thinking emaSwati, I foresee millionaires self-made by the toil and blood of the virus.
How can our government act when all blood samples sent to South Africa for testing, 99.5 per cent of them come back negative?

I start to wonder if indeed there is a virus or this is just a scare tactic to keep us behind closed doors so they can erect 5G towers. In South Africa they are just rolling out the 5G network and erecting 700 towers, then boom people have respiratory problems.

Infections

The 5G network effects are just the same like the symptoms of the virus! Eish, walking in a dense forest creates conspiratorial theories! If COVID-19 is a virus and infectious, would we not be having/recording large numbers daily, like our neighbour?
Two of the confirmed cases had interacted and had been in contact with many people in their workplaces but seemingly nature played its card right and none was infected.

Is that not suspicious? Is government telling us that one only gets infected when he/she visits one of those high risk countries?
We have been in contact with one or two of the positive people unknowingly. Don’t you think we (many) should be in quarantine or self- isolation?

Distance

Something is fishy here and government seemingly does not know about this virus except urging us to wash our hands, cough in our elbows, keep a metre distance. It boggles the mind why in the high risk western and eastern countries people are wearing protective masks?
I’m in a delirious state; it seems we will never know the truth about this virus especially with our captured media on tow!

Slow

: Squatters on farms
The influx of squatters on farms will always be a challenge unless chiefs are salaried and regulated by government. Do you agree with this sentiment shared by farm owners?
