USE TIME WISELY, RESPONSIBLY

 Sir,

The year is almost over; 11 months into the year, one starts to reflect on some of the events it has brought us. Our lives seem to be compartmentalised around specific events, be it holidays or jobs. These small cycles culminate in the grand design we call life.

What has me extremely shaken, is how time flies. The crazy thing is, at times we get so caught up in the menial tasks of our daily lives that we miss the magic of it all. Honestly, life is a wonderful gift and by the time we awaken to this, it’s too late.

Extract

Just considering this, one can’t help but wonder how well they’re living. How does one suck the marrow out of life? How does one extract all they can from the time they have on this earth.

There are people out there living their lives to the full. They resonate at a different frequency and surely when they pass, their regrets will be minimal.  So there’s no time to waste, an entire lifetime can vanish and come crashing to a halt within a split second.

Times

One can’t waste time interacting with people who don’t feed back with the same authenticity, but above all that you can minimise regrets by living your life from your authentic self – basically, always be yourself. That means, when making decisions be who you are at all times. As people, we waste so much time attempting to reach for this external validation. We allow it to dictate our innermost workings.

Validation

We seek this validation for far too long and forget to live for ourselves.
But when you consider the aspect of time, with regard to your life, it punches you in the face just how wasteful it is doing this. Therefore, it’s a necessity to be conscious of time.

Our youth always tricks us into feeling this invincibility, that we speed through things without careful consideration. So as the year draws to a finish, it’s worth considering how you spend your time and if you are getting similar returns. Time is the only commodity that is completely yours. Use it wisely and responsibly.
