A WORD TO THE WISE

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Sir,

It is possible to be sincere in your thoughts, words and your actions but be sincerely wrong.
It is possible that you can hold a certain perception on a particular subject, for you to be so sure and so convinced that what you think is true is true only to find that it is not. In this letter I will be talking about God.

Let me begin by humbly stating that I don’t know God. By saying that I mean it is impossible for one to know the fullness of who God is.
I am but a mere man. Jesus, the one and only son of God knew exactly who God is.

Thoughts

Jesus is the only one who fully understood who God really is. God says, in the book of Jeremiah, His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

Jesus knows and fully understands the ways of God. I refuse for someone, unless it is Jesus, to tell me to do something in order to receive something from God.
I understand for someone to share their own experience with God and how He came through for them the moment they started to do this one thing differently.
However, don’t think for a second that I will try it the way that you did just because it worked for you.

Creator

The reason is not pride, but that I would rather appear before my creator just as I am, speak to Him the way I would speak and approach Him the way I please. Each one has his or her own walk with God.
Stay in your lane and I’ll do the same, focus on your path and I’ll do the same. Stop trying to get other people to walk the way you walk or pray the way you pray.

In closing, live your life and enjoy it. We know that Jesus is coming back but what a shame it is to actually carry that everywhere you go.
I have found, in my life, that if you walk around replaying in your head that ‘Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back’, what happens is that you will be walking along the street and you will see a guy with tattoos and a beer bottle in his hand and all that will come to your head is judgement; “Oh this one is definitely going to be left behind, hell is where you’re going pal.”

Understanding

Yet, when you clear all that out of your head and rather replay the grace and love of God for all people, we will actually live in the understanding that Jesus actually died for all man, and that Nkulunkulu ute umgcoma wemuntfu.
Life actually becomes worth living because then you will be able to do the works which Christ did while He walked the earth.
