THE MOST SELFISH PEOPLE

I now realise how wrong it is of men to toy around with people’s feelings by having multiple partners just because they think it’s how things are supposed to be. Men who cheat are the most selfish people on earth and don’t deserve to live because they damage a lot of girls’ lives.

I discovered that men who cheat destroy someone’s life because of the hurt they bring to them. I mean, wouldn’t you be hurt to find out after three years that the person who has been your everything has been the same source of peace and happiness to someone else.

You live your whole life thinking you have found the man you’ve been praying for, the man you’ve always imagined yourself with, the man who would love you for who you are, only to find that he’s been with you because he feels like you give him the best sex. How do you take that as a woman?
I figured out why some even go on to commit suicide and to be honest with you, if that was not a sin then I wouldn’t blame them. This world is cruel and love is the worst drug because it drains you slowly and before you know it, you are gone.

This is why I believe whoever wants to get into a relationship must think first about their reasons they want to be in love with someone, whether they’ll be able to be with that someone only, until that loves fades away. Get to know that person and find out if they are your cup of tea or not, if they align with your values and dreams; before you ruin someone’s life.

So to everyone who wants to be in a relationship, you must be sure of it before it destroys someone’s life. People are now insecure even when they’ve met the right person and end up losing that person because they believe men are the same and he will do the same thing the last one did.
For me being in a relationship is as important as choosing a career you will do because it affects your life. Before you get into a relationship, first get to know the person and have the right reasons you want to be with that person.

As for me, I’m still trying to figure out how I can get back with the girl I call ‘Cakes’. I know it is going to be hard but I’ll try all I can to be with her again because she makes me feel like a three-year-old. When I see her I become happy as if mommy got me my favorite toy.
While I figure out how I’m going to do that, also figure out whether the person you are with is what you want and if not, let go before you get hurt. If you are single, get to know that person through dates and know whether ‘yinhlobo yenja yakho’ or not.
