LORD, OUR FATHER WE NEED ANSWERS

Sir,

We are your children, we belong to you. We came from you, we represent you. We pray to you, we worship you. We praise you and we serve you. We cry to you, we ask from you, we beg you and we believe in you. We are confused, Lord we seek answers.

Why do your children have to die so young? Is this what you planned for them? Does life have to be this unfair?
We have plans, we dream big and we set goals. We work hard; spend so many sleepless nights; sacrifice everything we love and put our whole lives on our dreams.

Do we really deserve to just perish when we are near our success? We are your children Lord, we love you and we believe in you. We are now confused and scared.

We are no longer comfortable with this life; we live with our eyes always looking over our shoulders. We always worry what is going to happen next. You gave us a life. I know it is your choice to take it anytime, but we deserve a chance; we can still do better. We need more time to shape our fate so it is what you want from us. Lord we need answers, we believe you’re listening.

We know we’ve made so many wrongs; we have lost your ways. We’ve forgotten about you and we don’t serve you.
Lord we have hurt you; disappointed you; disgraced you and made you frown upon us. I know it is no excuse for our wrongs, but Lord we’re still young, we are easily manipulated, mislead and fooled.

We learn the hard way; we make mistakes that cost us opportunities and sometimes our lives. Lord please forgive us, we are your children, we love you, we believe in you and we belong to you.

Why do we have to go through so much? Why do we lose our parents so young? How are we supposed to survive all alone; with no one nor nothing? Who are we supposed to run or cry to? We are still young Lord, we can’t do everything by ourselves. We need you. Do you hear us? Do you think about us? What are you planning for us? If you do, please show us something Lord, just anything that will give us hope that you are still there, listening. We don’t mean to doubt you Father and we have not lost faith in you.

We know you have your ways Lord, everything happens on your call, and your Word teaches us to pray, believe and wait for you to do your work. We have been patient, we’ve done everything and now we are lost. We feel lost, confused, helpless and lonely.

Where is this world going? Who is going to lead us if our youth, with great minds, potential and skills is drowning in poverty and addictions? Who is going to take care of our grandparents?

All they have left are their grandchildren, whom now just vanish like smoke within the blinking of an eye, and they are left in the dark. Lord we ask you to forgive us for our wrongs and give us a chance to realise our potential and achieve our dreams.
