GOVT BUYING CARS AT COUNTRY’S DETRIMENT

 Sir,

I have come to realise that we emaSwati always learn the hard way in almost everything we do.
We just never listen to voices of reason and we arrogantly steam ahead even when the cul-de-sac is obvious.  Our economy is at its lowest and truly speaking,  I must say it is at its worst but to our government, it’s business as usual.

What do you make out of our minister for Public Works and Transport, who is arrogantly going ahead with the purchase of a fleet of new cars for government? This is regardless of the obvious signs that we are spiralling downwards to a bottomless pit.

Suffering majority

Despite this, our beautiful minister, who by the way takes instruction from the PM, just sees things in a normal way and there’s nothing wrong with her decision to go ahead with the purchase.
Are these cars a priority in such a time when our finances are down? Well, it is a fact that this government has been the worst of all those that have been in place before.

Who is this minister trying to please at the expense of the suffering majority? Are cars now a priority over the suffering majority? Well it’s obvious that to our minister, the people of the Kingdom of Eswatini are regarded as a little bit less than human beings.
Can’t that money budgeted for the purchase of the vehicles be diverted to some useful priority areas?

We have hundreds of new cars lying idle at CTA but they are purchasing new cars which will also add to the already overstretched CTA. That’s why I said this minister in question should have been given a ministry of beauty and hotels because that’s where she could fit like a hand in a glove.

outgoing parliamentarians

May I warn emaSwati that this extravaganza by our current government has already added the last straw that broke the camel’s back.Unfortunately, things are not likely to change even in the next decade, more so because the outgoing parliamentarians still want to be voted back. If they can be voted back, it would be a recipe for disaster.

Anyway let’s watch the space and see the country sinking right in front of our eyes. We are watching helplessly.
We are now banking hopes in God Jehova to save the King and the country from this government.
