LET’S MAKE BOOKS OUR BEST FRIENDS

The dream I want to delve on is not the series of events pictured in one’s mind while asleep, but the cherished desire that one has in relation to the future.

Every young person is obliged by nature to have a dream, and dreaming is not a sin. In order for young people to have a sense of meaning and purpose they have to dream. A dream makes one to shift focus from the trivialities onto things that matter most in his or her life so that the dream could become a reality. Without a dream, a young person will gradually deteriorate and become a valueless creature. There are many factors that can influence a person to start dreaming. You only have to know them so you can make use of them to your full potential. Firstly, internal stimuli can influence one to dream. This means you must independently formulate some imaginative thoughts about your desired future; there is no other being that will make you dream but you have to do it yourself. Secondly, external factors like reading books can be good influences. When reading, you come across inspirational stories that make one to desire and hope for a future one wants.

We should make books our best friends and allow them to influence us on how to dream. Having a role model does not demote one to the status of a copycat, but it makes one to learn from them since they are performing well in their fields. We have to dream positively and hope that our dreams will be achieved, no matter the circumstances. Optimism is one of the most important human traits because it allows us to evolve our ideas to improve our situation, and to hope for a better tomorrow. As much as we can dream big, optimism is a prerequisite. We have to follow our dreams even to the penultimate minute of our existence on earth. The greatest discovery of time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude. A dreamer is a doer, the responsibility to make a dream come true hinges on the shoulders of the dreamer. A dream is nothing until we first activate it, therefore a dreamer must take action. A desire not backed up by action is empty and cannot be satisfied. Dream and do.
