IN SD FREE TERTIARY EDUCATION IS POSSIBLE

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

I wish I had a platform I could use to educate the leaders of this country about the importance of education.

There are many ways that can help fund tertiary education in the country. Some countries in the world have successfully done this.
Singapore invested in education to grow its economy, yet it does not have any natural resources.
Taking away luxury cars from ministers and cutting the size of Cabinet is another way of achieving this.

Do away with the construction of unnecessary projects; some of these projects are done without any feasibility study undertaken.
Government is seeking loans to fund certain projects yet it is struggling to supply hospitals with enough medication. Government can survive without a few of its ministries.
Career guidance should start while pupils are in Standard V and they should be encouraged to pursue careers that are much needed by the economy of this country. We have a lot of graduates who are working in fields they are not qualified for.
Education is the only tool, if not the best, that can take you to places you have never been to before, therefore, our government must protect and prioritise it.
