WOMEN HAVE RIGHT TO MAKE INDEPENDENT DECISIONS TOO

 Sir,

Today men get married without a good male role model who has spoken to them about growing up to become a responsible and respectable man in society.

We need to be taught to accept the times; we need to know that women are complete human beings who have the right to make independent decisions without any interference from us.
I know it will take time, but we can introduce it in a positive way to make sure it doesn’t receive resistance from men.

Violence against women is everyone’s problem including men and they can make a big difference. We need to start dreaming of a generation that will not even have the word ‘domestic violence’ in their dictionary.

Perceptions

It begins with me and you, questioning our own attitudes and perceptions about women because we have the power to transfer it to the next generations.
Can you imagine if our Swazi way of life does not promote violence against women but there was someone who was able to distort that and today most people see it as a norm, then we can also promote that non-violent culture against women and disown men who believe in violence. I say no to the killing and the raping of our mothers and sisters.
