GEGE MP MUST JUST FOCUS ON OUR NEEDS

Sir,

I have been saying to the people of my constituency (Gege) ‘let us support a moving vehicle’. We want to support our bucophos, headman and the MP provided they are moving.

A number of constituency officers tend to forget their mandate until the last year before the elections, where you will see them stopping us and greeting us. No! People must work, deliver while there is still time.

We are not cheap electorates anymore; we know what is good and bad for us. To our Member of Parliament please do not change the good attitude you are popularly known for. He must not change the big heart he has that makes him donate to every corner of his constituency, this makes him respect even a penurious individual in his constituency. Because when he changes, we are here to remind him. Our MP must focus on our needs more than on our wants. The people of Gege are unemployed, especially the youth and this needs to be addressed.

The constituency is in desperate need of institutions, such as computer institutions. I want to thank the MP for showing an interest in uplifting the level of education under his constituency. To me, it says he has a vision and not just a vision but a vision in line with the order of the King of Swaziland.

When he said let us go to 2022 not leaving education behind, that was wonderful. The MP is busy constructing a number of primary schools in the constituency and I say thumbs up for that! We will support him. Of course, he must also do something to reduce the high level of unemployment. We want to say we are here to support and criticise where there is a need. Keep it up Honourable MP, you are on the right track. Let us not frustrate him but rather give him plenty space to play.

Ronnie Dlamini, Gege
