HOW CAN YOU EXPECT GOOD RESULTS IN THIS SCHOOL?

Sir,

What is a teacher? What is their mandate?

I’m not an expert but allow me to say a teacher is a professional person who has been trained, not only to be a teacher but to be a role model in the school they are attached to.

When the world and respective governments value education, they do this because their trust relies on those who will implement that mandate without fail, in this case the teachers.

I used to say some civil servants tend to behave in alarming ways especially in rural areas.
I wonder why?

There is this school in the Gege constituency which is popularly known for performing badly every year. It is an old high school but it is always doing badly, I was wondering what the cause of this consistency in bad results was.

Behave

I want to say teachers in this country must learn to behave, consume alcohol in a private place and always be mindful of the fact that they are professionals tasked with shaping young minds not this thing of turning roads, shops and butcheries into places to drink.
Can you imagine the very same pupils they teach seeing their teachers dancing and holding bottles of alcohol?

What about the parents?
They sent their children to a school with this calibre of teachers?

We don’t want  people who will come here for the sake of it, we don’t want people who will always be ready and wait for their pay day while our children are failing or doing very badly academically, Gege is not a beer area.
It is unacceptable!

same here. Teachers forget that most of the students time is spent with them. They do not play the parents roles of showing good morals, countrywide.

Government employs the drunks and rightfully so. You cannot control the alcohol life. The state provides alcoholics, teach and promote it. Think of emaganu season and the laws about alcoholic beverages.

Teachers therefore, being sons of this soil, lives like all humans. Saints are in heaven and not in this world. We share different characters in this world.

Some drunkards pass learners while some fail them as much as non-drunks does. It's about how responsible one is.

It is a grave mistake to have a mentallity that teachers should be different from other humans. They are brought under same social circumstances with other humans but they also differ like other humans.

May you please tell us what you advised them about before coming public. That's if you really wish to help them, pupils, parents and the community.

Are you a teacher? Morals are not only taught in the teaching profession but in all spheres of life but still, they are rotten. Even in church. Yourself may be full of troubles for those who know you. Your community could be the real problem hence the teachers not scared to so behave.

We must all behave in ordely manner as we all model to young ones in our communities. That shall make teachers' work better.
