The reason why most women, including me, love soapies is because we secretly fancy their lifestyles, especially where relationships are concerned.

Yes, men could blame The Bold and Beautiful and Days of Our Lives for us hoping they could be like Ridge Forrester or Austin. Unfortunately, that’s television not the real world but it can’t be helped and this is why we wish Sipho could just be as romantic as the characters I have mentioned. We wish Sipho could deliver flowers at our workplace from time to time not only on Valentine’s Day. That he surprises us with a picnic basket full of all our favourites at the beach.

Never mind that there is no beach in the country but something like that, he could substitute ke for Maguga Dam and whisk us to some secret cabin with a fireplace.

That kind of stuff manje Sipho nani, his idea of a night out is KFC.
I have learned over the years that there is no Ridge in the real world, but a girl could only hope right? I’ll try and share with men what their girlfriends, or wives find romantic today.

All women need attention especially from their man, which means calling her at least three times a day. Just nje to check on her or if the girl she is always complaining about from work is not giving here any drama today. Did her boss like her new idea that she pitched on that day? Not calling her during the day at all could cause a lot of tension, as she would not feel important to you if you don’t even bother. Calling more than three times is even better; you’d be the perfect boyfriend according to her.
