CANNABIS PROHIBITION IN SWAZILAND ILLEGITIMATE

It is totally destructive to social and industrial development, and it is seriously debilitating the much needed economic empowerment of the country.

At the heart of the dagga debate, and considerations, there is a fundamental truth and fact that overrules, and bloviates all the current negative perspectives and arguments on Cannabis legalisation. This truth also renders cannabis prohibition in Swaziland to be without moral premise, erroneous and frightfully dysfunctional. Cannabis prohibition in Swaziland is illegitimate. The truth and fact is; we the people are legitimate for cultivating, for using and for selling Cannabis, in all its forms, for all its uses and for all its magnificent natural benefits, as God intended for us. Nature, as God created it to be, is legitimate to grow, to thrive and to serve the natural purpose it was created to serve.

The Government of Swaziland `s determined effort to totally deny this truth and this indisputable fact is what is illegitimate.
Certain leaders in Swaziland currently delivering obscured statements and inconclusive facts (which is propaganda) through the media, while arrogantly refusing to acknowledge any of the internationally reported medical, industrial and economic benefits of Cannabis, are deliberately attempting to undermine the current appointed research committee, and the general public’s perspective on Cannabis for ulterior motives. The Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini has now on several occasions publically rebuked Cannabis, and the possible industry legalisation considerations for Swaziland.

He has on several occasions clearly stated that there will be no Cannabis legalisation while he heads the administration of government in Swaziland. Recently, most widespread alternative educational media platforms on the internet, instigated by myself have been sabotaged, and some even deleted completely off the internet.
The police commissioner’s recent ‘primitive’ public statement; ‘Dagga is satanic’, is shamefully also a complete turnaround, and a total contradiction from an article he did about a year ago, where he clearly advised government and advocated for a study into the legalisation of cannabis in Swaziland, published by the Observer.

Every single official who has made a public statement or article demonising Cannabis is doing so maliciously, without any conclusive evidence, truths or real facts. They are simply giving their own uneducated and ill informed opinions that make no sense, and carry no weight for justifiable Cannabis prohibition in Swaziland. The media should only print articles that are based on truth and facts. This is called journalistic integrity. Those seemingly well intentioned individuals who do argue against, or who do outright attack Cannabis legalisation, should at the very least be responsible and accountable for their public influence, especially if it is intentionally misleading.

If anyone would attempt to derail the current considerations for Cannabis legalisation in Swaziland, and persist with delivering their biased, and in some cases dishonest, view point, they should at least be required to deliver sound truths and facts that back up their viewpoints and their statements. There are now currently insurmountable medical, industrial, legal and economical truths and facts on the internet which are sweeping the world into new perspectives and decisions, on Cannabis industry developments.

I would heartily recommend that every single Swazi, if they do really care, to take the responsibility to re-educate themselves from these many reliable sources and resources, and to recondition their own perspective based on sound truth and facts before making any further decisions or statements regarding Cannabis and the industry development considerations in Swaziland.

We sincerely hope that the appointed Cannabis research committee will soon enlighten the nation and the misinformed leadership of Swaziland. We pray that they will conclusively deliver, by all means necessary, the clear truths and facts on Cannabis and its infinite potential for health development, social development and industrial development, and especially, for its magnificent potential for revolutionary economic empowerment for Swaziland.Source: Deon Wood, a passionate contemporary educator of functional human development and social justice
