MBABANE – SNCAC and Mr Swaziland Bonelelwe Makhanya will host a fashion show whereby the proceeds will be donated to charity. Makhanya is, however, appealing to sponsors for funds to carry out the event.

The event is set to take place on September 6, 2014 at a venue yet to be confirmed.
Makhanya said he was aiming to raise funds as he intends to renovate a school around Pine Valley. This is the same school where he donated roles of fence and pairs of school shoes early this year.

He said he was hoping to host the event during the school holidays so that by the time schools open, the school would have been attended to.

Motivate

“The reason why I want to host this event is because I want to motivate the young generation to love school so as to become the best they can be,” said Makhanya.
He went on to highlight that a lot of people had the feeling that he had no support from the National Council of Arts and Culture since he had already participated at the highest level which was the Mr World Contest.
“I am happy to reveal that despite that I went to Mr World, SNCAC still supports me.

“Already the CEO Stanley Dlamini contacted me earlier this week to find out how I was doing hence the coming project,” he said.
He, however, lamented the fact that he was working without the director (Melusi ‘Zox’ Dlamini) since his contract expired.

Advice

“It’s been hard I must say as sometimes I need someone to talk to in terms of direction. However, we have not lost touch with ‘Zox’ as we sometimes chat as an effort to advice me on how to handle situations,” he said.

Lastly he cited that the reason he was focusing on schools was due to the vision by the King for the country to reach First World status.
“Truly speaking, the youth is the catalyst for this vision hence the emphasis on education,” he said.
