WILSON NKOSI JUST BRILLIANT!
EZULWINI – Swazi born Metro FM Deejay Wilson B Nkosi was the perfect tonic for mature fun lovers at Whispers on Tuesday night.
Nkosi was the main act during the crossover party which took place at the classy venue to usher people into the New Year.
Much against expectations, fun lovers came out in their numbers despite the entrance fee which was E300 per person.
By 11pm, the venue was already packed with fun lovers getting down to beats by local spinner DJ Mixmash.
The organisers of the show kept their promise that they would prepare a sumptuous meal for their patrons.
By 8pm, patrons were called out to visit the kitchen where the good meal, which included sea foods, was prepared for therm.
Wilson took over the turntables at exactly 10pm and thrilled his fans with good romantic ballads which saw them dancing in partners.
If truth be told, those who had not come with their partners had a boring night as the talented and much loved radio star played love songs which were enjoyable when danced in pairs.
All fun lovers were looking forward to midnight when they were to be ushered into the New Year.
At about two minutes to the most important hour, Wilson took the microphone and asked the fans to start counting from ten to one something which they did in screams.
As if he knew what they wanted, he played a perfect song at midnight titled ‘He Still Loves Me’ from the award winning movie ‘Fighting Temptations where US star Beyonce starred.
The track was followed by another award winning song made popular by Whitney Houston titled ‘My love is your love’ which was also loved by both couples and singles alike.
The track was followed by other good ones such as ‘Fistful of Tears’ by Maxwell, ‘Pray for me’ by Anthony Hamilton plus Zahara’s latest much loved track titled ‘Madiba’.
At exactly 1am, Nkosi gave up and handed over the turntables to MixMash.
However, fans demanded another hour from him to which he gladly agreed and dished out the good music that they wanted.
Fun lovers danced until sunrise and no one could blame the cops who came and demanded that the venue be closed at around 8am.
