MANZINI – It never rains but pours for local gospel artist Zaga Dlamini.

The artist who was launching his latest album titled ‘Ngeke Ngikuyeke Nkosi’ on Saturday had all gate collections taken by a sheriff who was acting on behalf of a law firm known as Nzima and Associates.

The sheriff came to the venue just after 9pm armed with a court order allowing him to attach Zaga’s movable property worth E50 000.
The debt is in connection with monies owed by the artist to a businessman only identified as Hodan Hasan.

As soon as the sheriff arrived, he served Zaga with the court order before taking all the money that Zaga had already collected at the gate.
By then, Zaga had made over E2 000, which the sheriff took just before he performed.
Relating the incident, Zaga said he was preparing to take the stage when the sheriff arrived and told him that he had been instructed to come and take all the money he had made.

“Before he took the money, he made a call to a lawyer who identified himself as Nzima. After a brief discussion, he served me with the court papers and took all the money,”  said the obviously  devastated artist.

Zaga said he was aware of the debt but he never thought such would happen.
“In as far as I know, the matter is still before court and therefore I was surprised when the sheriff told me that he was here to take the money. As I speak, I have no money to pay some of the expenses as all the money was taken pay the sheriff,” he said.

He said he was still to see how he would tackle the matter as what happened had depressed him.
“At the moment, I do not know what to do. Maybe after I am done with my launch I will be in a position to know which route to take,” he said.

Also being made aware about the matter was the Police Deputy PRO Inspector Khulani Mamba who was among the guests during the event.
During his preaching, Mamba mentioned that something bad had happened to Zaga though he did not give much information.

People were left asking themselves what had happened as they were eager to know what Zaga had gone through.
By yesterday morning, Zaga had not yet taken the matter up with either the police or the legal way as he said he was still winding up his launch that lasted up until yesterday morning.
Despite what happened, the show was not disturbed as everything continued as normal.
