MTN spends E100 000 on TV Game Show

MBABANE – Swazi MTN has spent E100 000 on prizes for the Swazi MTN Game Show.


The first session of the game show which is currently being screened on Swazi TV comes to an end next week Wednesday.
The show was presented by musician Lando Dlamini and Fikeveni Dlamini.


The game show had 13 episodes and in the process, the public got the opportunity of winning fabulous prizes which include money that was being deposited into their mobile money accounts, airtime, MTN merchandiser and weekend holidays at the Sun International Hotels at Ezulwini.
Cynthia Simelane, MTN Consumer Marketing Manager said in as far as they were concerned, the game show was a success, thanking the public for taking part in what was the first of its kind for the viewers.


“The response has been good so far especially from the viewers at home.  Their participation made the game show come alive and we thank the viewers for talking their time to be part of the show, “she said.
Simelane said during the time of the game show, they also got the opportunity to relate to their clients.


“The game show has given MTN a platform to do product education and give back to customers. All questions asked were product related.  The game show brought the MTN brand closer to the customers through interaction and entertainment. It also helped in sharing MTN initiatives that were done for the Swazi nation especially during the 21 Days of Y’ello Care,” she said.


She said since next Wednesday would be the last session of season one of the game show, they would be making an analysis.
“Next Wedne-sday would be the last episode of season one and therefore viewers should not be surprised if they do not see the game show on air. They will be informed when the next season will begin. We are yet to see how the first season went and thereafter look at the possibilities of having season two being screened,” she said.
