Mbabane – Swazi Rhythm artist and resurgent rapper LCB had his revamped hit single ‘Siyabashukumisa Part II’ on the SBIS Top 20 chart pinnacle for three successive weeks.

The track features renowned hip hop heavyweights, MP, Ngwane hop artist Diba Diba and Silo Phame. The single got the highest number of nods from the chart show’s loyal listeners through the show’s facebook group.
Radio personality and chart show host, Bongani ‘Bobo’ Dlamini described the song’s third time triumph as consolidative.
“LCB’s claim to the top spot was never opportunistic, hence sustaining that position in three successive weeks has consolidated his presence and significance in the hip hop industry. He, surely, is among the few rappers whose proclivity to meticulousness, as far as production and delivery are concerned, has earned him well-deserved respect in the local music front,” said Bobo.

‘Siyabashukumisa Part II’, being a remix, outdid its original cut which hardly attained a top five charting during its days.
Meanwhile, at number two on the charts was Swaziland’s self-styled King of Kasi-rap, Kena, with ‘Kasi lami’. The song, dedicated to Mfabantfu’s luminaries that include Mozaik, South Africa based Crax, DJ Mos- Feb and Paige among others, has been in the charts for over three months and is a former number one hit. However, colossal endorsements on the chart show’s facebook group sustained it in the top three.

Trending and comic rapper, Mr. Kangaroo moved one notch up from four to three with his controversial ‘Nitashkuma’ track. At four was Switch with ‘Awesome God’, a track that features American rapper Ric Flo. The song is found on Switch’s debut album, ‘The Journey Begins’. Completing the top five was the celebrated L.I.T (Labahambako In Transit) crew with their iconic ‘Move-aside’ hit. L.I.T consists of Swaziland’s supreme emcees; Psycholution, Qibho Intalektual and Crax. The hit track ‘Move aside’ features the legendary rapper Soldier Within who also shared the stage with PsychoLution and The Band during the Sibebe Friday Night Live series which took place last Friday.
Meanwhile, Weeks 16 and 17 of SBIS Chart Show have seen sizzling hot new entries from firebrand rappers Viruss, M-Forteen, Size Killer and Lyrical C.

Example

Viruss’ new single, ‘Playing 5’,  made a debut charting at number 19, and already judging from its massive airplay, it is set to become a proverbial example of ‘started from the bottom to the top’ as far as chart listing is concerned. The hit track is a follow up to his successful ‘The statement’ single.

Fellow Mbabane compatriot, M-Forteen, also debuted ‘Di-dang’ in the previous week. The song becomes M-Forteen’s sixth charting in two years. Size Killer debuted ‘Unofficial’, a song that has earned wide admiration and approval by listeners and fellow artists alike.
Lyrical C, of ‘Slow down (killin’ em)’ fame, made a sensational return to the charts with ‘Zabalaza’, a number that features his long-time idol the outspoken Qibho Intalektual. Lyrical C has made successful chart appearances in the past, alongside his buddy Ill-Uminous, with hits ‘Slow Down (killin’em)’ and ‘We good’.
The chart show, presented and compiled by Bongani Bobo Dlamini and Bongani DJ Tizalami Dube, airs on Fridays at 8pm on SBIS’ Channel 2.
