Poor sound system forces Maculuve to walk off stage

MANZINI – Apostle Vusi Maculuve and his wife Make Gumedze were forced to walk off the stage as he failed to perform due to a poor sound system.

This was during the launch of Gcina Masuku and God’s Praisers held at the Divine Healing Ministries on Saturday night.
Maculuve and his wife were among the artists who were expected to perform during Masuku’s launch.

Maculuve who had bought his band and back-up singers was called to the stage just before midnight.
As soon as he got to the stage, he greeted the over 200 people who had attended the launch and thereafter began his performance.
As he was singing his first song titled ‘Phaphamani’, he was not satisfied with the sound and had to cut the song.
He then asked the sound engineer to try and improve it as he was dying to rock his fans.
 However, this never happened.

The gospel music fans started complaining, accusing the engineers for their failure to improve the sound.
Maculuve then told the audience that they were prepared to perform but because of the poor sound system, it was impossible for them to continue.
He then invited his wife to the stage to greet her fans. While greeting her fans, Maculuve and his back-up singers went off the stage something that did not go down well with the fans.

They began to shout accusing Maculuve and the sound engineers of failing to solve the problem.
Others followed Maculuve demanding to know why he had decided to leave the stage without performing while others went to the engineers as they wanted to know what the problem was.
They said they had paid and wanted to get their money’s worth.

 Maculuve went straight to his vehicle where he had a discussion with his group members before leaving.
As he continued with the discussion, some of the fans, who seemed to be angry, approached him demanding answers why he had failed to perform. Maculuve ignored them because after the discussion he had with his group members, he left. Music lovers went back to the church and continued to dance to the music of the various singers who performed during the event.
Other artists that performed during the show include LaZwide (Umkhokheli), Pastor LaNdlela, Come to Jesus and Wawasande and Asande.
