Tourists come from as far as France, Canada

LUDZIDZINI - Once again, this year saw an influx of tourists attending the annual Reed Dance.
Some came from as far as France, the Netherlands, Ivory Coast, Canada and neighbouring South Africa.
The tourists all shared the same sentiments about coming to the country, to witness the annual cultural event.
Shari Van De Pol from Canada said she was quite pleased to meet such a friendly nation and was impressed by the hospitality of the Swazi people.
She said the event was spectacular.
Suzanna and Lucretia from Johannesburg also said they were impressed with the Reed Dance.
They said they enjoyed themselves tremendously and wouldn’t mind returning next year.
In fact, Lucretia donned luvadla during the Reed Dance, which she bought from South Africa.
A family from the Netherlands were also part of the tourists who took part in the Reed Dance on Sunday.
They were thrilled with the many activities that took place.
Tourists from Ivory Coast were also present and had a chance to meet Miss Cultural Heritage and pose for pictures with Miss Teen Swaziland, Fatima Loureiro.
They said they enjoyed themselves during the ceremony and commended Swaziland for maintaining its culture as a lot of countries were losing their traditions.
