Nomzamo's album doing great' in South Africa
MBABANE- Local songstress Nomzamo Dlamini’s latest album titled ‘Injabulo’ has been positively received by the South African market.
This was an observation made by Dlamini’s booking manager, Njabulo ‘JB’ Masuku whom after conducting a thorough review of the market.
He said, "With the aim of using South Africa as a test marketing ground for Nomzamo’s album, I must say that the response has been an awesome one as the public has shown interest in purchasing the product."
Masuku said they were excited that the South African media industry was taking an interest in grooming the young artist as positive reports based on the album have been published thus far.
"We’re thrilled by the response we’re receiving from the South African media because the moment the Swazi album hit their shelves, a lot of publicity was made about it therefore providing relevant information to the target audience."
Masuku based the media’s positive response to the album as that of realising a new artist entering a new market.
Passing comment on the positive results, the artist herself said she was proud of the new improvements surrounding her work and hoped that Swaziland would have the same perspective concerning the album.
"Receiving news that my album is doing great in South Africa was fantastic; I just hope the same will happen here when it hits the shelves. I’d like to believe that the original copy will be bought as it has been evident with Bholoja’s album within the country," she said.
Nomzamo’s album is an 11-track album released under Sdunkero Music and Universal Records in South Africa. Her music video has been made available on Internet sites such as You Tube and Facebook.
