Amidst the vibrant streets and rich cultural tapestry of Maputo, the team encountered a 78-year-old man whose profound perspective on art left an indelible mark on their hearts and minds. During their activation in Maputo, the Makoti Festival team stumbled upon the awe-inspiring wisdom of Mr. João, a seasoned artist and a living testament to the enduring power of creativity. As the team engaged in a heartfelt conversation with João, they were captivated by his belief that art is not merely a visual spectacle, but a profound form of self-expression that transcends age, language and background.
