MBABANE – TuneCore Africa has released local musician Eskae Amigo’s interview, which he had with the reputable music distributor this year in January.

The interview was released on Monday. TuneCore’s headquarters are in Brooklyn, New York, with offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, Atlanta, United Kingdom, as well as France to name a few.

During an interview with this publication, the artist disclosed what the interview with TuneCore was about.
“It was basically a new feature they launched this year called #NextUp. They select a few different artists from different parts of Africa to profile and promote as artists to look out for this year. So it was just a profiling interview, where they asked about life and which country I reside in, also a bit about my music and where I see myself in the next coming years,” Eskae shared.

“Basically they reached out to me in January just before I released my single ‘Stuff Say’tolo’, so I went to shoot the interview a couple of days later and it came out now in the beginning of March,” added Eskae. He also expressed his reaction after getting the request from TuneCore that they wanted to interview him as well as how he felt about getting the opportunity.

“At first I didn’t believe it because TuneCore is such a huge company, so I thought maybe it was spam, until they sent me everything and we started communicating with the team from Tunecore Africa. It is actually a huge blessing for me to start the year with such recognition on a global scale, it means a lot of doors are going to be opened this year, because clearly I have eyes on my career and in different parts of the world that I would have imagined before,” the artist said. He further shared how the recognition by TuneCore has encouraged him as an artist.

“From the first time they reached out to me, it actually encouraged me to continue releasing good music and continue promoting it on my social media. They required a lot of different things from me which I was lucky to have, this included a couple of music videos, professional pictures and performance videos. This has encouraged me to just keep pushing myself even harder, as one day I see myself becoming an international artist,’’ Motsa went on to say that this happened around a time where he also got attention from another music company in the United Kingdom, which he will be revealing soon.

He also shared that many times young artists feel discouraged and frustrated because they think the people around them don’t seem to pay attention to what they do, but he learnt that if you keep going, you end up getting even bigger attention from outside and it pays off. Eskae’s interview is available on TuneCore Africa’s social media pages Instagram and Twitter precisely. It can also be accessible on the artist Instagram page (@eskae_amigo or on Tunecore Africa @tunecore.africa).
