Mbabane – Add a braai to the mix!

This year’s Sibebe Survivor 2022 will be like no other as more fun and entertainment activities are lined up for this coming weekend. Thousands have already committed their participation for this year’s event. The resort is working very hard to ensure that participants get the best experience during this year’s event. To manage the traffic for food, Sibebe Resort will open a Shisanyama, where people can buy their meat and braai for themselves. This will ease the pressure from the two restaurants and ensure smooth service.

Braai

When rea-ched for comment, the Marketing Manager of the resort, Themba Thwala, spoke at length about the day’s activities. “A dedicated braai area will also be allocated to those who would like to bring their own braai stands. However, we will be in a position to braai for those who would like to relax and be served,” said Thwala. He went on to say that as much as braai stands and empty cooler boxes would be allowed, no food and drinks will be allowed into the resort.  “Groups are advised to place their food order prior with Sibebe Resort for avoid frustration and inconvenience on the big day. We will, however, put up a few food stalls in strategic areas where people will be able to grab a quick meal,” shared the manager.  He further shared that after the very active sporting Saturday, Sunday will be a more relaxed day after the walk. People can bring their camp chairs and umbrellas to create a picnic atmosphere.

Enjoy

This event is child friendly and families are welcome to enjoy the weekend at the resort. On the performances, Thwala shared that the Inkabi Nation will bring their five artists namely; Big Zulu, Lwa Ndlunkulu, Mduduzi, Siya and Xowla. Some of these artists will perform on Saturday evening at a concert scheduled to start at 6pm after the sports tournament. However, it has been confirmed that Big Zulu will perform on Sunday. “More local acts will perform alongside Inkabi Nation on Saturday and Sunday. M Nation, Siphiwoshort and A2Z Fusion have been added to the line-up for the weekend,” said Thwala. Thwala concluded by saying that Friday night still remains 100 per cent local with the best comedians fired up to deliver the best performances. He also shared that if you are carrying a Sibebe Survivor tag, you will have free entry to all the concerts and those without the tickets will be required to pay at the gate.
