‘KAKHOZA’ VIDEO SURPASSES 20K VIEWS

MBABANE – Local Hip Hop artist Young Zesh released the much anticipated video for his ‘KaKhoza’ song yesterday morning.

The trending song is from Young Zesh’s debut album ‘Ligcebesha’ which was released on July 22, this year. Ligcebesha is a 10- track album which features local artists such as Histo, Emstar, Teanibar, M.Nation, EimsoflY, Lyrikal Busta, Leejah, ProRBS, and DJ Citie. Young Zesh is signed under local record label ‘Upscale Live’; he is managed by Sibusiso ‘3T’ Simelane. The video shoot of ‘KaKhoza’ took four days; it was directed by Kwenu and produced by DJ Citie. Local DJ Supa CDQ took to the comment section on YouTube to applaud the production of the video and said, “Storyline and visuals too on point.”

His comment on the video was followed by other locals such as Zoe Genesis, who also praised the song. “Great work gents. The world will love this one” she commented. The video hit over 1 000 views within an hour, just after it was released last week Thursday. The video is currently trending on social media, it is currently sitting at 20 600 views on YouTube. The comment section is filled with motivation messages and appreciation for the local artist Young Zesh.

Expressed

The artist has expressed that he was not expecting the video to break such grounds in the entertainment industry. However, he appreciated the production team of the video as well as Upscale Live Record Label. “I am grateful to the executive producer Philile Dlamini, and then Upscale, Producer Motion Skies and everybody who made this video happen. I wasn’t expecting this video to move the way it is, shout out to everyone who is watching the video, shout out to Eswatini as well as the movement” Young Zesh said. Local rapper Lyrikal Busta is featured on the song, his verse is also quite popular with some of the local fans that follow local music. When reached for comment, he expressed his gratitude for the support they get from emaswati as local artists. He went on to express his heart-felt appreciation to the production team of the video. “I am very honoured to be part of such a great track, from the first time Young Zesh approached me to co-sign him with a verse, I already knew it would be a big song.

"I’m really excited about the music video and hope emaswati will share the same sentiments, we worked with the best video director in the kingdom which was not the first time working with him, as we have two Eswatini Music Awards for Video of the Year together” Lyrikal Busta said. The reception of the ‘KaKhoza’ video is history in the making in Eswatini, it has been widely watched in Eswatini, compared to other previous local songs that did well in the local market. The song is liked by many of emaswati as it is written with lyrics that relate to many of emaswati. Also the storyline about the lover having to wait patiently for his boyfriend, who is on a kombi coming to meet her, relates with many of emaswati especially the youth.
