MBABANE - Patrons braved the cold and danced the night away.

Even though the night was blessed with showers, the show dubbed ‘Blackout Experience’ gave fun lovers their money’s worth. It was headlined by the ‘Umlando’ hitmakers, 9umba, Toss and Mdoovar from South Africa.  The show was initially hosted at the Prince of Wales, but was later moved to Mega Lounge because of the heavy downpour. Speaking to the host, Yellow Swazi she explained why the venue had to be shifted.  “We decided to shift the venue because of the heavy rains. We had an open bigger venue,” she said.  Despite the sudden change, patrons packed the Mega Lounge situated at Sidwashini.

The ‘Umlando’ hitmakers were a marvel to watch.  Toss, the lead vocalist left the audience yearning for more. His energy filled the room as patrons were left cheering.  He also did the ‘Umlando’ dance challenge where one is expected to shake their waist and move forward simultaneously. As if that was not enough, he also sang one of their latest songs dubbed ‘Siyabachamela’. The performance left fun lovers in awe. Judging by the epic dance moves and cheering, patrons had a great time. In an interview with Tema Dlamini from Manzini, she said she had a great time even though the weather tried to spoil the event.  “The heavy rains did try to halt the event, but I am glad that it happened and I had a great time,” she said.
Gubevu Mavuso also expressed his excitement.

“The show was worth the wait. I had a great time and I saw my favourite act perform live,” he said.  It is worth noting that the South African acts, 9umba, Toss and Mdoovar were performing for the second time in the country.  Last month they were at Manzini Club on a show dubbed ‘Ingoma Jazz Party’. The night ended on a high note with patrons cheering and making memories.
