MBABANE – Will there be a celebrity boxing match between Illa Penboy and KrTC in the coming months?

Only time will tell on who will reign supreme as Sifiso ‘Illa Penboy’ Ndlangamandla recently took to his social media pages that he was currently readying himself for a charity boxing match against renowned Hip Hop artist Thamsanqa ‘KrTC’ Sibandze. The post read, “The Champ in the gym for the next three months preparing for a boxing match…August we on.”

Gym

This publication sought a comment from the renowned artist turned philanthropist as he said for the next three months he would be working out in the gym to prepare himself for a fight with The Black Superman himself, KrTC of Hip Hop. “The fight will only be between me and KrTC and not somebody else within the next three months. We are not doing this for hype or anything else but for charity so it is only fitting to do the fight with my brother KrTC. I am a winner so I can win this fight!” he said. Illa went on to add that the fight would be a catalyst in uplifting the boxing sport in the country, as well as the arts sector as a whole given that the past two years had been bad for everybody in all aspects.

Assists

With this, he further mentioned that all proceeds from the boxing match will assist in helping vulnerable children he assists through the Illa Penboy Foundation. When asked about the details of the fight, he mentioned that information would be announced in due course as both parties were yet to discuss the finer details. While everyone on social media was waiting for KrTC’s response to this challenge, he was contacted by this reporter and said, “No comment!” It is worth noting that last year, after South African musician and entrepreneur, Cassper Nyovest won his first fight against YouTuber Slik Talk, local comedians Gedlembane and Dr Shakes promised fans they would duel each other in a similar boxing match but it did not see the light of day. This was despite both comedians confirming and accepting that the fight would take place in January.  Also, on December 26, 2021, there was a boxing match between Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council CEO Darius Dlomo and he won against Comedian Gedlembane.
