MBABANE – It seems as though Illa Penboy’s presence is being felt as the new marketing and events manager at XChange Lounge and Shisanyama.

Fresh from hosting South African female vocalist Lady Du last week, the popular hangout spot will play host to Leehleza. The latter is not new to performing in the country as he has performed here quite a number of times. Dubbed Yebo Yebo Fridays, the event will see the ‘Mshove’ hitmaker performing as a DJ rather than as a vocalist for most of the Amapiano songs he is now known for. This was confirmed by Illa Penboy as he added the entertainer would also be performing his latest song with Young Stunna, which is yet to be released. “As we gear up for yet another Yebo Yebo Friday event, Leehleza will be playing a two-hour set during the show.  He will be playing a set as a DJ, which I am sure fun lovers will enjoy,” he said.

Entertaining

Leehleza will be entertaining the audience alongside Master P, Khwanny, Spice, Paris, Maphi and Team Amapiano Dancers (TAE). The MC for the night will be Sintour. Entrance to event will cost E70 before 9pm and E100 after with specials on Flying Fish beverages. Leehleza’s real name is Lindelihle Gladwell. He was born and raised in a small town called Leandra in the Mpumalanga Province. What most people don’t know is that the entertainer is also a Mechanical Engineer graduate.

Sampling

He started his career as a disc jockey in 2007 while collecting and sampling music of the likes of DJ Fresh, Mbuso, Vinny da Vinci and many others. He started DJing in 2009 while entering into battles of the Djs in his heighbourhood, and finally got his breakthrough after he met with the self proclaimed king of Amapiano, Kabza De Small. Some of the songs he released are ‘Mrs Zulu’, ‘Umshove’, ‘Dubula’, ‘No to Rape’, ‘Ngeke’, ‘Sick Note’, ‘Piano Siyasha’, ‘Abolomalume’, and a few others.
Leehleza is well-known as the vocalist behind some of Kabza De Small’s hit songs such as; ‘Umshove’, ‘Bamba La’ and ‘Amabele Shaya’.
