MBABANE - An intimate yet spiritual night to remember!

This exactly describes the mood which was witnessed and felt by everyone in attendance this past Saturday at Assemblies of God, Mbabane. Commonly referred to as ‘the dome’, the church was packed with gospel lovers as over 400 people were in attendance to see Xolly Mncwango, Nothando Dlamini, Ncebakazi Msomi, Linda Dlamini and Lungelo Hlongwane, who hails all the way from Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. The show saw amazing performances from the headliners of the day, Xolly Mncwango, who was followed by local gospel sensation Nothando Dlamini who brought the dome down with her captivating presence on stage.

Ncebakazi Msomi was the third to take to the stage and she worshipped with emaSwati who at the time had even come closer to the stage for a clearer view while singing and taking videos of the star performing. Gospel music lovers and church members of the said church enjoyed the renditions of the day which brought nothing but praise and worship. As the main headliner, Xolly Mncwango would return to the stage and sing songs from her new album including ‘Yebo Nkhosi’ which lifted the spirits of everyone in attendence. When Lungelo Hlongwane took over the stage, the mood was lifted higher as he would now and again urge the gathered audience not to forsake the Lord no matter the circumstances.

Audience

He entertained the audience with the latest dance moves and the audience would join in as they were moved by his performance. The host of the show, through Kufeziwe Communications Linda Dlamini, then sealed the event on a high note with his gospel hit ‘Konke Kuyang’lungela’ which he performed effortlessly with class as the audience sang along. Just before the show ended, Linda Dlamini presented Swazi Auctioneer’s Sakhile Ndzimandze and his wife, Nontobeko with a certificate of appreciation for helping to sponsor the show. The company donated an amount totalling E30 000 towards the event which saw international gospel acts performing there for the first time.

Dlamini further thanked Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC), his team (Kufeziwe Communications) and everyone had come to worship in praise for supporting the show as he promised to see them in the upcoming Holy Ghost Party Festival he will be hosting next year. Gcebile Sibiya said she thoroughly enjoyed the show from beginning until the end. She said she was happy she was able to see Xolly Mncwango for the first time performing. Branden Litler also said, ‘I am glad I was able to come to tonight’s show. I am used to attending other shows but this one was just over the top. I enjoyed Ncebakazi Msomi and Linda Dlamini’s performance the most.’
