EZULWINI- The top eight of The Spotlight Season three competition has been voted for by the public and judges as the competition continues to heat up.

The top eight was announced yesterday after the public had also voted for their favourites. Show host KrTC announced that Banele Tfusi and Bong’musa Mtshali would not make it to the next stage. “This is the part of the show I love to hate as sadly we have to say goodbye to some of the contestants as guided by the judges and the public,” he said during announcement. Despite the brief sad moment as they bade farewell, the show then kicked-off like a house on fire with the live band leading the sets of some of the catchiest and energetic house and dance tunes. Catching the eye of the judges was once again Sanele Mkhwanazi who did a song by MiCasa. Not only did he sing it brilliantly but then he pulled a rabbit out of the hat with some unexpected dance moves that had the judges excited. “You are one of the strong contestants here. You improve with each week and if the public agrees you will make it all the way to the Top three,” Judge Karly said and the other judges shared similar comments.

Impressing

Also impressing was Ntsetselelo Mkhonta who gave an energetic performance of ‘Shine Your Light’ jumping up and down the stage while his fellow rapper in the competition displayed a lot of composure but quality with his rendition of ‘City Rains’.
Nonjabuliso Magagula also did a great job of the song ‘You Turn Me On’ and Simphiwe Mnisi’s version of ‘Subconsciously’ had the judges mesmerised. The public is also urged to like The Spotlight Page to keep updated and also follow the media for more updates. The next eliminations will be towards Top six and this is all a build up to the Top three grand finale.
