MBABANE – The Bible in Acts 20: 35 states that, ‘In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak.’

The above bible verse was the message shared during the show dubbed ‘Hope Rising Music Festival’ at Zakhele FEA Old Auditorium that took place on Friday night. The show was meant to raise funds for Sanele Simelane who is an upcoming gospel artist. The funds would be used to assist in paying Simelane’s tertiary fees. Hosting the show was local personality, ‘Tjovitjo’ whose real name is Mzwakhe Khumalo. Khumalo kept the audience in high spirits as he carried his hosting duties with a lot of confidence and stamina.

The first act of the evening was Sphiwo Ndlangamandla who set the mood through his electrifying performance. The ‘Tive Temahlaba’ hit maker ushered gospel music lovers into to the presence of the Lord with his thrilling performance. He was followed by female gospel artist, Bhelekazi who reminded the crowd about the great deed of the Lord. She interacted with the crowd as she would make them sing along to her songs.

After the word of the Lord, the audience was encouraged to share their offerings.  As soon as the agenda of the day was done, the crowd was mesmerised by music from the gospel music giant Nduduzo Matse who has recently been in Dubai.  His set left the crowd dancing and cheering. Speaking to one of the attendees, author and entrepreneur Mncedisi Simelane, he thanked the people who attended the show and also encouraged Sanele Simelane to trust the greater provider.
“For me, the show was amazing, listening to the word of the Lord really reminded us about the importance of taking care of one another. We trust the great provider our father to intervene,” he said.
