Msweli described his exhibition saying; ‘‘The life of a black man has been quite well-documented in our memorials and histories. The savage, the beast, the hyper sexual, the good for nothing taker, the labour number, the little boy who is but a fully grown man, the shadow of all other living creatures. The pattern of the tale tends to follow similar traits and narratives, mostly negative and only peppered with charming character at the funeral memorial,” he said.

He further mentioned that as a black man living a life which is nothing short of a beautiful journey of discoveries, family, spirituality, learning, unlearning, intellect, excellence and thrashing injustice he was loving himself.
Despite all of the blemishes that history has yoked upon those of his kind, he mentioned that it was his moment to write his eulogy. Worth noting is that the exhibition started running this past Saturday (May 1, 2021) and will run up until the 25th of this month at the Yebo Art Gallery in Ezulwini. Entry is free and the exhibition opens from 9am - 5pm on weekdays and 9am - 1pm on Saturdays.
