MBABANE – The fourth annual Holy Gospel Party Festival will once more serenade gospel fanatics with a star-studded line-up.

Having been established in 2017 and hosted by local gospel sensation Linda Dlamini, the event will once more be held in the country at The George Hotel on May 29, 2021, in Manzini. Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be held under strict COVID-19 regulations. This was stated by Dlamini as he said the tickets would be readily available as of next week Monday at all Ocean Basket outlets, retailing at E250 each.
The show is widely considered as one of the biggest calendar events since it hosts renowned and established gospel artists from the SADC region.

The main act of the night will be one of South Africa’s best-selling gospel artists, Xolly Mncwango.  Some of the local acts that will be performing on the day include Siphiwo Ndlangamandla and Nothando Dlamini. However, the gospel artist Linda said he would reveal more international acts in due course as he was still in the process of finalising with them. Dlamini further thanked The George Hotel for allowing him to use their venue for the show and further appreciated Destiny Music Group for also lending a helping hand. “I would like to thank Destiny Music as they assisted with sound, stage and lighting, The George Hotel for the venue and also Arts and Culture Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stanley Dlamini who has been a great help with his team and  their hands-on approach,” he said.  He went on to also thank Bishop Nash Shongwe for the support he had given him to date.

At its inception, the show was first hosted at the Metropolitan Church in 2017 and it has grown into one of the biggest gospel events locally and internationally. This is because Dlamini hosted the show in Alexandra, South Africa pre-COVID-19 era in a sold-out venue in 2019 where he shot his DVD that has proven to be a favourite among the gospel fraternity. The notable artists  that have performed at this annual event before include Thina Zungu, Sbu Noah, Dumi Mkokstad, Nduduzo Matse, Ayanda Ntanzi and Takie Ndou to mention but a few.

Thando Shiba expressed his excitement about the upcoming show as he said he would be among the first people to arrive on the day. “We really missed these gospel shows and I am so happy that they are finally here. Although we won’t be as plenty as before, we understand that the show has to abide by the regulations set by our government as this is for our safety,” he said.
