MBABANE – May the best man win. This holds true to local artists who were nominated under the Lockdown Gospel Music Awards (LOGMA).

The Association of Christian Artists in Eswatini, (ACAESWA) a few weeks ago announced that they would be hosting gospel awards online dubbed ‘Lockdown Gospel Music Awards’.
The awards, which will take place this coming November were officially launched on July 11, 2020 at The George Hotel in Manzini.

The association’s Public Relations Officer, Nhlanhla Mathunjwa, yesterday officially shared the voting score board.
The nominations had public and technical categories.

The public category was decided by the public and were open to anyone who qualified, while the technical category is to be decided by the adjudication panel except for ‘The Most Downloaded Gospel Song’ category, which will be based on online statistics.

“We have been getting a positive response from the public. We had requested them to nominate their favourite gospel artists and they have been responding well. The current COVID-19 pandemic has pushed us to wear our creative caps and we will be having a great online show,” Mathunjwa said.

He went on to encourage people to continue supporting local artists by voting.
Mathunjwa also shared that prizes to be received by the winners would soon be shared.
“We are still finalising with our sponsors, but we will be giving away lucrative prizes for the winners,” he added.
