MBABANE – Local DJ and talented songwriter Tendaness has revealed a new and fun side to him.

Social media went into a frenzy on Saturday afternoon when he, alongside renowned make-up art, Khosi Shabalala, did a YouTube feature, which was shared on various social media platforms.
Shabalala is a professional artist, who has respectfully earned her stripes in the beauty industry and has been in it for over seven years.

In the 27 minutes video Tendaness  was applying make up on Shabalala, where he seemed to be quite familiar with the process.
He explained the steps in applying the make–up on the beauty’s face although he did express it was his first time and he had not been taught to do it.
It was an interesting and fun compilation filled with conversations about his life and music.

Speaking to the Entertainment Desk, the DJ revealed that he and Shabalala had been in talks about collaborating on a YouTube video for a while.
“She decided to challenge me to do the make-up and bear in mind that I had no prior experience,” he said.

He said it was exciting and thrilling to do Shabalala’s make-up although he was nervous at first.
“Khosi is my good friend and I have major respect for her and how passionate she is about her craft. She is a master with the whole thing and I feel she has influenced a whole generation of make-up artists in the kingdom,” he said.

Tendaness shared that in that respect, the make-up artist had a signature trade mark in her craft, which could be spotted immediately on someone’s face.
He said that had impacted greatly on him such that he translated her work ethic into his own.
Who knows, maybe the DJ will add this newly-found talent as he jokingly said it had birthed ‘Tendamix Make up Artistry’.

Shabalala said she enjoyed the recording of the video and did not realise it would receive so much positive reviews, especially since it had not been done before.
Tendaness has been quite busy lately as he revealed that he would be dropping a video for his song ‘Love Me’, where he features Velemseni.
His star has been on the rise since the lockdown began as he  has been featured on international radio platforms such as BBC 1 in the United Kingdom as well as 5fm in South Africa.
