MBABANE – They deserve it. Award-winning house producer and spinner DJ MBO has today hit the number one spot on the weekly Eswatini Top 20 charts with his song ‘Emadlelweni’, which he collaborated with multi-award winning vocalist Symphony.

‘Emadlelweni’ moves two places to number one this week, while last week’s chart topper ‘Sidlinyuku’ by Young Zii recedes by the same number of places to land at number three. RnB songstress Lindz retains the second spot with ‘Don’t hit me up’.
‘Emadlelweni’ first debuted onto the charts some 10 weeks ago, and has been rising gradually up the charts to claim DJ MBO’s second number one song on the highly contested charts.

“This song is an epitome of house excellence and vocal prowess, and we are proud that it competes effectively with any song from anywhere in the world,” opined chart show presenters Bongani ‘DJ Tizalami’ Dube and Lindelwa ‘Lindz’ Mafa.
The song was co-produced by DJ MBO and Sub Jamz, who happen to be siblings.
Notably, Symphony has lent her vocals to other house songs before.

Meanwhile, this week’s debutant songs on the charts have been described by the presenters as ‘power-entries’, and they are mainly local save for one. Mozaik leads the pack at number 16, with his latest song called ‘Ekhaya’, which also happens to be the theme song of a local television series of the same title.
The song features Yemaa and rapper Oxygen JL.

American global superstar and black activist Beyonce debuts ‘Black Parade’ at number 17, while G-Stars artist Skinny G debuts ‘SODV’ at 18. At numbers 19 and 20 are MP and Luswiba with songs ‘Chillas’ and ‘Lenhle’ respectively. The former is produced by Arzi while Mr Kangaroo worked on the latter.
This week’s charts can be listened to on EBIS2 radio at 8pm tonight, or can be streamed on ebis2.radio12345.com at the same time.
