FASHION UNLEASHED SHOW POSTPONED

MBABANE – ‘Postponed till further notice.’  That was the message received by the Entertainment Desk yesterday as Fashion Unleashed supported by Secret Life Experience (SLE) have postponed their fashion show that was set to  be in Botswana on June 2, 2020.


They were supposed to show off different designs inspired by a liyiha.
Chief Executive Officer of SLE Linda Chester said the mission of the concept was to host the show in seven countries in Africa which includes Mozambique, South Africa, Ghana and Zambia, to name a few.


“We wanted to showcase our precious lihiya garment which is also soul life clothing that defines our beautiful, colourful culture. Due to the pandemic the whole world is facing we have postponed the event” he said.


Graced


It is worth noting that the first show was officially launched in November 23, 2018 at the George Hotel where the show was graced by five guest designers from South Africa who showcased their different designs.


“For us it is not only about showcasing our local talent but it is another way of creating different relationships under the SADC region. We want to export and monetise our craft,” he said.


Chester emphasised that they will be using local designer’s visiting different countries.
He further pleaded with the nation to support this initiative as it will also help eradicate poverty.
