SYMPHONY EXPANDS HER FOOTPRINT ACROSS THE REGION

MBABANE – Making a global imprint.

Eswatini songstress Symphony is expanding her footprint across the southern African region in as far as her music is concerned. Symphony’s real name is Zanele Cele and she has been in the music scene since 2017 when she won the road to MTN BUSHFIRE contest dubbed the MTN Pulse Firefly 2017. She appeared Live on SABC news on Sunday moning to share the latest news on her album, Sengikhona, which she released early 2019 as well as her latest single titled ‘Emadlelweni’ which she collaborated on with local DJ MBO and was released over a week ago.

The interview that was with South African based liSwati news anchor, Simphiwe Ncongwane, was conducted on Skype for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC News).
In an interview with the Entertainment Desk, her manager Buyile Cele confirmed the appearance on the news channel. She said they were hard at work expanding her geographical reach within the region and would not be stopped by the coronavirus spread. Cele acknowledged that at a time like this other forms of communication needed to be explored other than physical contact to prevent the spread of the virus and so the reason for their Skype interview.  

The award-winning songstress has been making waves in diaspora as in 2018 she came out number one representing Eswatini in the annual Afri Music Song Contest. She further went abroad sharing her talents with the world in May 2018 when she performed in Lisbon Portugal to a crowd of over 20 000 EuroVision fans from across the globe and the main EuroVision show was broadcasted to a live TV audience of over 186 million viewers around the world. On her Facebook post announcing the interview, Symphony encouraged her supporters to continue to stay at home and wash their hands to prevent getting sick and spreading the virus.
