MEGASOUND OPENING MEGA LOUNGE

MBABANE - Megasound Events  is set to end the year with a bang! Barely a week after hosting a successful Megasound Picnic, the events and entertainment stable, popularly known as Megasound, has revealed that it will be opening a hangout spot which will be called Mega Lounge.  

Mega Lounge will be owned by the Megasound crew, which constitutes of co-founders Zipho Zwane and Samkelo ‘Zulu D’ Zulu, a crew  of 14 DJs of different genres of music and a team of publicists.

Zulu, who is also known as ‘Mr 4hours’, confirmed that they were going to open the Mega Lounge soon, stating that it was still under construction.
The lounge will depict that of VIPs (very important person) as it will have colour-coordinated couches and a decorated bar area.
He did not wish to reveal the finer details on the location, however, he hinted that it was around Mbabane.

“Also, we cannot really disclose when it will be open yet but we will be definitely open during the festive season,” said Zulu.
According to  the MTN SWAMA Awards ‘Best DJ of the Year’ 2019, the lounge was motivated by the need to own a residential hangout spot as Megasound.  “Some of our DJs had a hard time getting gigs and with this lounge, they will be employed and always be active,” he said.

The lounge, according to Zulu, has always been a dream for the crew.
Swaziland Arts and Music Association (SWAMA) President Melusi ‘Zox’ Dlamini said it was humbling to see entertainers developing – especially as this  year’s awards’ theme is ‘Monetise Your Money’.  

“This is great news. It is always great to watch local entertainment entrepreneurs investing and creating jobs for our youth. It is high time the artists’ contribution to the economy gets quantified,” said Dlamini.

 He also said Megasound Events has shown that they were keen to make feasible contribution by opening their own lounge.
“We would like to congratulate them and wish them success. We urge locals to support them and make sure their business is able to sustain itself and grow,” he said.

Megasound Events is an event organising and entertainment stable which was formed in July 2010 by Zulu, who was solely responsible for putting together all Vaal Swazi Parties in Johannesburg, South Africa. 
Since then, it has been organising events and hosting numerous successful shows, not only limiting themselves to club scenes but also doing corporate events, weddings, private parties and charity events.

Due to the  increase in client base, Megasound Events  was officially launched on September 5, 2014 where giants of house music DJ Rocco from France, DJ Christos  from South Africa graced the event.
