‘SNOWEE’ BAGS ROLE IN SA MOVIE

MBABANE- Model Snowee never ceases to amaze!

Known for her wittiness and passion for the ramp, Eswatini-born model Nolwazi ‘Snowee’ Simelane is giving her all to her new acting career. This has been proven by her bagging a third gig on acting after she announced that she would be venturing into acting about three months ago.

Yesterday, the model confirmed with this publication that she made part of the cast of ‘Seriously Single’, a South African movie, which is still being shot. Her new role came after she made appearances on Netflix series titled ‘Queen Sono’ and Irish blockbuster titled ‘The Professions’. This publication has a document proving the Eswatini beauty bagged the new role.
Simelane expressed her happiness and said she was also surprised that she made the cut to act in the upcoming movie. “I never thought acting would be so easy to get into as per the experience which I had with modelling, which took me six months to master.

“I would like to thank Beck Casting Agency and the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) for the continued support throughout my journey,” said Simelane. She disclosed that she is not yet sure on the finer details of her role as she will be briefed next week where she is scheduled for the shoot.

ENCAC CEO Stanley Dlamini said the council was excited to learn that local artists were breaking new grounds. “We are about placing artists in new spaces and audiences, ensuring that they become attractive to professional transactions,” said Dlamini. According to News24, the film, which was classified as a romantic comedy, will be released in cinemas next year.
It is the latest project to come out of the Emerging Black Filmmakers Transformation Fund (EBFTF). It centres on Dineo, who is the definition of a serial monogamist. She dates to fall in love. She falls in love to get married. But she never gets married. She always ends up dumped.
