MBABANE – Amanda Mo intends setting the Mbombela Stadium on fire during this year’s annual Mbombela Jazz festival.  The award winning afro Soul RnB singer was confirmed as one of the musicians to render performances during the third edition of the rising jazz festival.

She joins the growing list of local artists who have been included in the music concert such as legendary musician, Bholoja, who was part of the festival last year.

Support

Amanda Mo said she was thrilled  to be part of the show and promised a memorable night in Mbombela.
“I was excited when I got the booking and I am preparing an exciting rendition for all music fans. I invite local music lovers to also attend the festival as it is not that far,” she said.

Her manager Phila Dlamini also confirmed that the ‘Uwami’ hitmaker would be doing what she knows best at the Mpumalanga Province.
He also urged music lovers to show support to the musician as she climbs the ladder of success in the music scene.
This year’s festival is themed ‘Where Jazz Meets Soul’ and will see the Kwa-Zulu Natal-born Song of the Year winner Sjava, who is riding high on the charts with his smash hits, among those headlining the event.

The event is scheduled to take place on September 7.
The festival is again expected to thrill the crowds with the headline performance by USA born Dr Syleena Johnson supported by an impressive line-up of Mpumalanga-born Indlovukazi, Kayzo, Chilla Flamez, and KZN Brenda Mtambo.

Collaboration

The line-up consists of legends and hit-makers across a variety of genres.
“This is a testament that Mbombela Jazz Festival is an event not to be missed. It is for everyone in the City of Mbombela, neighbouring provinces and countries like the Kingdom of Eswatini and Mozambique,” The Event’s PRO Kholofelo Nkambule said. The festival is being organised by Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency in collaboration with Harmocept Events.

Maintenance

Over and above the festival, the line-up of other events will include the Annual Ray Phiri Memorial Lecture to be delivered by the world conference speaker Professor PLO Lumumba from Kenya, the Mbombela Annual Jazz Festival Charity Golf Day where proceeds of that tournament will go towards buying school shoes for the needy children in rural communities of Mpumalanga; and Black & Gold Picnic to at Driekoppies Dam in Nkomazi Municipality.
