TEVIN SHOW OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED

HAWANE - August 3 will commemorate the 1980s and 1990s songs! This will be during the now officially launched Eswatini International Music Festival which is bringing five-time Grammy Award nominee Tevin Campbell from the United States of America.

The launch took place at Hawane Resort on Wednesday night, the same venue which is hosting the iconic RnB artist.
It is during this serene and intimate launch where Hawane Resort Owner Lionel Chambers expressed his excitement on hosting the Eswatini music festival which will be annual.

Chambers revealed to this publication that the resort will now be hosting events and this one will be the first of many.
He was also happy to announce that Campbell had been already paid to perform in the country.
“Tevin will definitely be in the country and we are excited,” he said.

The show is being hosted in collaboration with Alistair Isabel, a South African renowned music festival organiser.
 Isabel, is part of a 1980S boy band known as Ricardo and Friends which made the legendary hit track ‘I love you daddy’.
“I am honoured to be in Eswatini and to engage with the country’s talent.

“I am determined to make this relationship a long lasting one by also engaging in a cultural exchange programme,” said Isabel.
The show was endorsed by Eswatini Tourism Authority CEO Linda Nxumalo, who said such shows would place the country on the map.

“It is our duty as emaSwati to make sure that the country is safe and secure, especially during this time, to attract more tourists.
“This festival will be massive as golfers will also be part of this event,” said Nxumalo.
Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture CEO Stanley Dlamini said he was happy to be part of the launch.

“It is exciting that a festival will be hosted up Malagwane. The community should be involved so the festival is sustained for many years,” he said.
During the festival, local artist will be part of the line-up including Eswatini renowned jazz artist and guitarist Bholoja.
