MBABANE – The rebuilding phase at ACASWA has since attracted royal intervention as Inkhosikati LaMbikiza has summoned all gospel artists.

Inkhosikati LaMbikiza is the patron of the Association of Christian Artists in Eswatini. She had always played a part in the gospel music industry, not only as a support system for gospel music artists but also as a singer.

She displayed her singing abilities while a member of the revamped Redemption Mass Choir.
Yesterday morning, ACASWA Convener, Mathokoza Mtetwa, issued a statement to all gospel artists in the country informing them that they had been summoned by their patron.  According to the official statement, gospel artists are expected to dance their way to the Nkoyoyo Royal Palace on April 28 where they are supposed to gather and meet with the patron.

The urgent meeting is scheduled to commence at 2pm and Mtetwa encouraged the artists to keep time.
Notably, the date of the meeting is the one that was scheduled for the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). This effectively means that the AGM will now be held at a later date and this is confirmed in the letter of invite.

Eagerly

It should be noted that artists were eagerly awaiting the AGM as this was where they were going to elect a new executive. According to reports doing the rounds in the gospel music scene, some of the artists had already decided on whom to elect as the new executive.

While unpacking the statement, Mtetwa, said he was only asked to inform artists about the meeting, nothing more.
When called for comment, the Inkhosikati confirmed the invite extended to the artists but did not delve much on what is going to be discussed.
“I can only confirm that I have indeed requested to see them.
