MBABANE – The house music genre must live on! The inaugural House Music Festival which is slated for Saturday at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha is also bringing the first House Music Awards.

This new feature to this anticipated festival was added by Mduduzi ‘Mdubasa’ Matsebula, who is a deep house music fundi and the founder of the ‘Beat on Beats’ page which discusses house music topics and explores local and international players in the house music genre.
“We are excited to add an award feature as this will be the first in the country,” said Matsebula.

The awards will be appreciating local house music entities which have been in existence for years in the country.
“We are not having categories this year; we consider these awards as our brainstorming session on how to take them forward with other players,” he said. Awards will not be given to deep house music factions but to all those involved in the different types of house music genres.
