AMAPIANO HITS ESWATINI!

EZULWINI – Fresh! Fun lovers turned up and looked the part at the black and yellow cooler box party that was hosted at Emfuleni Lifestyle, having the ‘gong gong’ hit makers  who gave fun lovers a good run for their money.


During an interview with Neo Makate, also known as Mcfowlen DJ, the ‘gong gong’ king, he expressed his excitement about the  event as it was not his first time in the kingdom and he also noted how thrilled he was being on stage and serve good music even though he said it was nerve wrecking for him.


“If one is serious about their work, they are not going to have a big head about it. They are still going to be nervous. So for me it was nerve wrecking and also looking at the turnout it was amazing. I had a great time and I am looking forward to being part of other exciting events here,” he said.


Mcfowlen DJ came with two other DJ’s from South Africa, who go by the names of Lunga Ngaludidi famously known as Lungsta da Deepsta and Kingzeph Nkosi also known as DJ Zeph. The two crowd pullers gave an electrifying performance with the true definition of ‘amapiano’, which is a new genre that has been trending on all social media platforms, with their recent release song  titled ‘Isikhathi’ that has also been holding the first spot on South African music charts.


Mcfowlen DJ also said he could tell that the genre was still new in the country, but he hoped that local fun lovers would warm up to it.
 “We want to shape ‘amapiano’ to a point where emaSwati music lovers get to understand it and warm up into the genre,” he said.


 Gcinizwi Mamba, who was also part of the event, attested that she had a great time and looking forward to attending more shows organised by Sifiso Ndlangamandla also known as Illa penboy.


 “The show was amazing, everything was on point and I really enjoyed the performances plus everyone looked stylish with their black and yellow,” she said.
 Stuwie Dlamini also said he had a great time and loved each and every performance and the setting of the event. “Shout out to Illa Penboy, the event was amazing,” he said.
 The man behind the whole event, Illa Penboy, thanked all fun lovers who attended and applied to the theme and the main sponsors MTN.
